Company History
The project was born in 2009 when Stéphane, one of the two co-founders, discovered spirulina and began his training and expanded his knowledge of this superfood. A few years later, in 2013, Stéphane discovered French Spirulina and visited Antenna France in Cambodia. In love with this product, he decided to do an apprenticeship as a spirulina maker with Jeff, his mentor, who owns a farm in Savoie.
It is in 2017 that everything accelerates. Christophe joins the adventure and founds Spiruline SwissMade with Stéphane. In the process, they launched a fundraiser via crowdfunding. At the end of 2017, they moved to Lonay, in their first greenhouse, and produced their own spirulina. Throughout 2018, they expand the production area of their greenhouse to reach 700m2.
